Rain, rain and more rain!!!! It started last night and hasn't stopped yet. Let's hope it stops before Sunday when we have to hitch up and travel to Lennox Head.
Yesterday was cloudy but dry. We didn't do much. We went down to the local Tewantin shops for a little bit of shopping and ended up enjoying a little bit of time sitting on the bank of Noosa River and later on a coffee.
In the afternoon, I spent some time wandering along the foreshore at Noosaville while I waited for the new tyres to be fitted to the Santa Fe. When I went in to pay, the lady behind the til said " that'll be eleven twenty five thank you". To which I replied, " I suppose you don't mean eleven dollars twenty five, do you". No such luck!
Later in the evening we went around to Helen, Jim and Sue's place for dinner. We had a most enjoyable time.
Today, in the rain, we drove down to Maroochydore and caught up with Moyneen and Ian Curtis. Bev and Moyneen were in the same nursing class many moons ago. While Bev and Moyneen had met up again recently, it was the first time I had met Moyneen and Ian in almost fifty years. It was great to discover that they were the same good fun as they were back then. We had a most enjoyable time discovering what we had been up to in the intervening period and now we are looking forward to them visiting Canberra in a couple of months.
This afternoon we are snugged up in the caravan with the heater on looking out at the rain. I have to say it is a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon. However, I have to share with you the downside. Today is the day I have to empty the toilet. So think of me outside getting cold while I slop around in the mud. Thank goodness the dump point is only a few steps away.
'Til next time.
