We had a great day today. The weather was so good that we started off by getting the washing done and out on the line. I don't know why I am saying "we", Bev did it all while I washed up a few dishes and swept out the caravan. You can imagine how long that took!
We then drove up to Brunswick Heads for lunch with our friends the Millers. We drove up through Byron Bay because the usual road up to the Pacific Highway was still flooded. It took forever to get through Byron, definitely not the way to go when the other roads are open.
We spent a very happy three hours over lunch at the Hotel Brunswick, which is the flash name for what is usually referred to as "The Brunswick Heads Pub". It is a very large and very good pub with a huge open air eating area and great pub meals. When we were there it was packed. Everyone seemed to be bent on getting out after being cooped up by the rain for 3 days.
After lunch (about 4 O'Clock) I wandered over the to the beach to see what it was like. Like most of the beaches in this part of the world, it was impossibly wide and went on forever.
Tomorrow is our last day here at Lennox Head, or to be more accurate, Skennar's Head. So we are going to have another try at getting up to Cape Byron Lighthouse. The weather forecast is good so we should make it. I hope that we will have some good photos for you. Talking of photos, you probably have found this out for yourselves, but if you click on one of the photos, you will see an enlarged version of the photo and you will be able to run your own slideshow. I just discovered this today when I was reading Brian and Judy Black's blog.

Great that you caught up with both Millers after all. Beautiful pics, especially of Skennars Head. Yes I found the photo show facility to check out your shots. It works well.
