Hello once again,
Another nice day in Bargara Beach. Sunny but windy and on the cool side especially this morning.
We took advantage of the weather by going for a longish walk to Kelly Beach and back along the Bargara Beach esplanade. We rewarded ourselves with a coffee at the Surf Club at the end of it. This time, I remembered to take my camera with me so I have attached some photos below.
This afternoon we went for a drive across to the loggerhead turtle rookery at a place called Mon Repos. Between December and February the turtles come ashore to lay their eggs in the sand. Between January and March, the young turtles emerge from the sand and struggle to the water. The public is encouraged to come and witness these events under carefully controlled conditions, much like the Phillip Island Penguins. Obviously nothing is happening at this time of the year. The rookery is simply a very nice beach, probably better than Bargara Beach.
OK, now for the photos

The esplanade looks like a lovely area! Gee I'd love some warmth :)
