I was watching the Channel 10 news tonight and suddenly realised that it was the New South Wales version, the version that we watch in Canberra. It goes to show that we are getting close to home now and the trip is almost over. Part of me is looking forward to being in Canberra once again. Apart from missing the kids, Bev, however, could keep on going for ever. She told me yesterday that she thinks she is a Gypsy at heart.
We took things a little quietly today. We went into Ballina and had some morning tea with Denise Miller, one of Bev's nursing classmates. We missed catching up with Reg, Denise's husband but we will have lunch with both of them tomorrow.
After a very wet night, the weather unexpectedly cleared up this morning and we had several hours of pleasant sunshine. So we spent this afternoon sitting in the sun like the old folks we are.
I also took the opportunity to have a good look at the caravan park and take some photos. As I said in the last post, it is quite a big park. However, most sites are given over to cabins and the caravan powered sites must comprise less than 50% of the total.
The weather forecast for the next few days is not good. The Weather Bureau is predicting a rainfall of 40 mm or more and strong winds in the Byron Bay area and that's us. So we are not expecting to be able to do much in the next few days.
I am having trouble downloading the photos of the caravan park, so I am going to post this and then take some time to try to solve the problem.

Good pics. Did you see the Millers again today?
