After doing a bit of 'van house work we went into the Back O' Bourke Exhibition Centre and took in the Outback Show. It went for an hour or so and was both very entertaining and informative. The star of the show gave us some very clever demonstrations of old-fashioned bush skills involving the handling of camels, horse and bullocks. It was amazing to see the high level of working relationship that existed between him and his four legged colleagues. I can't imagine how many hours of painstaking training must been invested in achieving the extremely high level of team work and cooperation we saw today. And the thing that was so obvious was that it had been accomplished with a high level of kindness and respect.
This afternoon, we decided to see if we could photograph Mr Oxley, regarded as Bourke's answer to Uluru. We discovered that it was best photographed from a distance. So we took our pictures from the Brewarrina Road.
We have got a big drive ahead of us tomorrow, 450 kms to Charleville via Cunnamulla with B all in between.
