Just a small blog today. Given the terrible news from overseas, it seems somehow inappropriate to be getting enthusiastic about holidays in the sun.
However, the fact is that we have arrived in Ellis Beach. It is just as we remembered it, jammed between the mountains and the sea about 11 kms north of Cairns. The van park is quite small and elongated situated as it is on the foreshore between the road and the beach. We are in a beautifully shaded site no more than 50 metres from the sand. As I am writing this I can hear the small waves breaking on the sand and the birds in the trees. Magical. The van park has some very good sites. The amenities are spot on. However the park does not welcome dogs. Just across the road is a bar and grill that offers discounts to park patrons. Must give it a go before we leave.
No photos today but will post some tomorrow, promise.
Can't win. I even tried just putting xyz to get to the Google login so as not to waste a comment, but no luck. I have to write a comment to get to the Google login window. How does that make any sense????
