Well, it has finally come, as we knew it must do eventually, our last day at Ellis Beach. It has been a marvellous stay but now we must start to wend our way slowly southward and homeward.
After all our great weather, today has been cloudy and rainy especially in Cairns where we spent the morning. The great thing about the weather here is that while it might be raining, it is not cold. We are still wearing our regulation summer uniforms, in my case, singlet, shorts and thongs (I hope my overseas readers know what Australian thongs are).
Today was an easy day before the big drive to Townsville tomorrow. Bev put her feet up this afternoon while I washed the car. Then we started packing up a few things and putting them away.
I think that is about all for today. I am intending to post another blog from Townsville tomorrow night.
Talk to you then.
