Day 18 Ellis Beach

Bev can't get over how well she is feeling.

How about this for a great site

The park is quite small and the vans are
shoehorned in

Great pool that nobody uses

It may be a great site, but it is a really tight fit.

The little stream behind our caravan

Ellis Beach

My next task is to find out the name of this island

Ellis Beach
It is now the evening of our first full day here and it has been perfect.  We can feel ourselves becoming more relaxed by the minute.

We did not do much today.  Just went down to Clifton Beach to do some shopping at the Coles Supermarket.  It is only about as far from Ellis Beach as Cooleman Court is from Chifley.  This afternoon we just sat around the caravan park and enjoyed the fantastic weather that we have been having.

Had a bit of drama last night.  I went to the loo in the caravan at about 2.30 and discovered that it was broken.  Nothing to be done at that hour of night but for us to go to the caravan park loo and then go back to bed.  Now, I have to tell you that we have a small stream running over a little waterfall behind our van.  The combination of tinkling water and the knowledge that the household loo is broken causes a very annoying psychological response.  Let's just say that neither of us got much sleep.  Morning revealed that there was nothing much wrong with the loo.  The movable cassette had been nudged off its base when we bumped over a curb while coming into the park.

Rather than try to show you in words how beautiful this place is, I will just let the pictures do the talking.

Tomorrow we will go into Cairns.
